The philosophy
behind the seams
Babar Cloth House exists for people who want their clothing to last — in construction and in style.
Clothing chosen the way it should be made
Babar Cloth House started with a straightforward frustration: too much clothing is designed to be sold once and forgotten, not worn for years. We set out to build a brand around the opposite idea — fabric and construction that hold up, and design that doesn't need to shout to feel considered.
That means paying attention to details most people never see: the weight of a fabric, how a seam is finished, whether a collar keeps its shape after the twentieth wash. It's slower, and it's the only way we're interested in working.
Every piece in our collection — from an everyday kurta to a formal shirt — is expected to meet the same standard before it earns a place in the range.
Three things we don't compromise on
Fabric First
We select fabric for hand-feel, breathability and how it ages — long before we think about print or colour.
Honest Construction
Seams, stitching and finishing are checked at every stage of production, not just at the final sign-off.
Designed to Last
We favour fits and details that stay wearable for years — style that doesn't expire with the season.
